by Givesong.org

Rob Anthony has teamed up with Givesong.org putting value and purpose back into music. ‘Artistry & Charity’ together they have changed the world. With your help we intend to help both. The artist contributes the song, you give what you can to the charity they have chosen. You get the song. It’s that simple.

Visit Givesong.org and learn more about the charity and story behind Anthony’s song ‘Before You Sentence Me’.

In Anthony’s words, “I want to believe this will help bring more attention to the struggles of those suffering from PTSD and how important it is to honor those returning from any war…”

American Red Cross ClubRob Anthony Brings A Voice To The Voiceless

By Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Music does more than enrich our lives. It brings a voice to the voiceless and the opportunity for musicians like Rob Anthony to give back to the world around him.

“My desire has always been to increase appreciation through the power of words and music to those often overlooked.” RA

Anthony’s philanthropic efforts have connected him with amazing people from all walks of life. His humble and dedicated devotion to charities throughout the years has assisted in the successful raising of thousands of much needed funds. Funds, which organizations such as the American Red Cross, Special Olympics of Wisconsin, and the Wounded Warrior Project desperately need in order to continue their efforts.

Awards Show PresentsWhile Anthony has certainly enjoyed his success as a singer-songwriter, one thing is certain, he hasn’t forgotten his roots. His constant touring, contributions to his community and pure love of music has won fans over and in 2005, 2006 and 2010 they voted him People’s Choice Artist in Northeast Wisconsin presented by WAMI (The Wisconsin Area Music Industry organizations purpose is to educate and recognize the achievements and accomplishments of individuals in the Wisconsin music industry.)

In addition to the intimate connection he has made with fans at live performances, Rob believes in encouraging our youth to follow their dreams. He has shared his entrepreneurial journey with students throughout the area speaking and performing at schools and colleges.

And, it is evident that Anthony is more than an artist for artist’s sake, but a man in pursuit of a life that cultivates, engages, and uplifts those around him.

Raise Your VoicePATHS Program Raise Your Voice A Success

By Fox Cities Performing Arts Center

This past season, students in our PATHS program got to participate in a unique program called Raise Your Voice. Fox Valley favorites Rob Anthony and Nicole Rae from The Traveling Suitcase, helped students write their own songs and learn about themselves along the way.

This unique program is just one of many throughout the year that allow the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center to serve as a gathering place for the community and to engage in education opportunities. By reaching out to students who may have limited access to experience the arts outside of this program, we are excited to bring the arts directly to them and learn together.

“Our students, these future songwriters, have not only put smiles on our faces but brought warmth and sunlight to our hearts. Super proud of them all and honored to have worked with everyone involved at YouthGo Neenah’s ‘Raise Your Voice’ project; courtesy of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.”

DWOS14$500,000 raised for the American Red Cross.

Rob Anthony’s good friend Jody Weyers of the American Red Cross – Northeast Wisconsin Region, danced in the Dancing with Our Stars for the American Red Cross on Valentine’s weekend. She not only killed it, but won Peoples Choice Award. It was an amazing night to say the least.

When Jody started her adventure over four months ago, she never thought it would have the impact that it has had on her life. Her goal was to raise $40,000 through their 40 for 40 concert held in early February. The event was a huge success and raised just over $54,000. “I was humbled and honored to be a part of the event. And, I am very proud of Jody,” says Anthony.

Of course, an intricate part of any successful event is to have talented photographers capture its magic and Jenna Cornell did it with perfection. You can watch this cool photo slideshow Jenna put together of her photography featuring Rob’s song “You Gotta Love”. > Click here

She also combined it with a write up about the concert: > Click here

Finally, the Dancing with Our Stars for the American Red Cross raised $500,660 in total. That is an amazing amount of funds, which will be used to help those in our local area. To find out how you can support the American Red Cross, please visit their website at www.redcross.org. And, to support the cause in Northeast Wisconsin, visit their website at www.redcross.org/wi/Oshkosh.

It’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week

During National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (Sept. 16-22) America takes the time to honor drivers for their hard work and commitment in tackling one of our economy’s most demanding and important jobs.

“Down The Road honors those who move the world along day to day and the families who await their safe return. Join us in celebrating the men and women across the country who work hard every day to deliver the ‘Good Stuff’ by sharing this song.

Many people ask me what inspired writing ‘Down The Road’. Not only did I work several years on the docks with truckers when young I still all these years later can’t help to feel a sense of connection with drivers who share the road with me during my travels. I wanted to capture the sense of loneliness along with the feeling of adventure that a life on the road provides.” ~ Rob Anthony

Rob has a page dedicated to ‘DownThe Road’. Click here: > Down The Road

You can download for free & share the links to help celebrate. If there’s ever a time to contribute now is the time with such an important song.

Remember music isn’t in the background rather it’s your best buddy, riding shotgun through life and we hope this song remains a friend for life.
